BCC laboratory staff are responsible for the enforcement of the following rules. Please cooperate with them. For assistance go to room B310 or contact the BCC through hotline@bilkent.edu.tr.
- The computers in the labs and internet resources are made available for the academic work of students and staff. Using the laboratories for academic purposes has priority above other usage. Students surfing the internet, playing games (including chess), chatting, interacting with social media, etc. are required to give up their places in the labs to others doing academic work.
- When you finish working on the computer, go to the “Start” menu and select “Sign out”. Do not shut down the computer and do not restart it. If, for some reason, you must restart the computer, get help from the BCC laboratory staff. If you do not sign out, your computer session will remain open and other users will have access to your email, SRS account, etc., and even send messages under your name.
- Do not attempt to modify the hardware of the computers.
- Do not attempt to install any software and do not change the settings of the programs already installed on the computers.
- Most of the activities on the computers in the labs are logged. The labs are also monitored by cameras around the clock and recordings are archived.
- The university is not responsible for personal belongings lost or left in the labs. All found items are turned in to the security desk located at the entrance of the B building.
